Skoda uses Megamos ID48 transponder chips on models up to approximately 2016 — Fabia Mk2/3, Octavia Mk2/3, Yeti. Newer Skoda — Fabia Mk4 (NJ3), Octavia Mk4 (NX), Karoq (NU), Kodiaq (NS) — use Megamos AES (ID47) requiring EEPROM extraction for all-keys-lost. Skoda's Simply Clever philosophy extends to their key blanks — they are often among the most cost-effective in the VAG group. We carry full VAG EEPROM and OBD tooling for all Skoda generations.

My Skoda Octavia flip key blade has snapped — can you fix it?
We can replace the key blade and reprogram a new shell. The internal transponder chip is usually undamaged when the blade breaks. We supply a compatible blank, transfer the chip if intact (or programme a new one), and cut a new blade. Cost starts from £90.
