Honda Key Technology — What We Work With
Honda uses proprietary Honda G (4D60) and Honda H (4D61) transponder chip types — not standard Texas Instruments or Philips chips. These require Honda-specific programming sequences. Older Civic (EP3, FN2), CR-V (RD, RE), and Jazz (GD) use Honda G chips. Current Civic (FL5), CR-V (RW/YH), ZR-V, and Jazz (GK/GR) use Honda H chips or Honda's smart key system with rolling-code RF. All-keys-lost Honda requires pin-extraction via the car's immobiliser ECU — we carry Honda-compatible EEPROM and OBD tools for all UK-market generations.
